What it’s all about
Bringing the Backcountry community together
Front Range Splitfest is a backcountry focused, multi-day demo and backcountry community event based in Winter Park, CO. Great for beginners looking to try the sport or advanced riders looking to check out the latest gear. Brands from across the US will be demoing their gear ranging from splitboards, bindings, skins, and avy gear to various other backcountry products to the public. Each evening will feature a happy hour, the opportunity to find new touring partners, educational guest speakers, raffles, and movies. All proceeds will go directly to Friends of Berthoud Pass (FOBP) and the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE).

Why You Should attend
This is a celebration of the backcountry community. The vibe when you are surrounded by a bunch of fellow enthusiasts can’t help but inspire. You’ll share beers, stories, the skin track, new routes and you might even walk away with a brand new splitboard or some other rad gear from one of the many brands in attendance as we raise funds for avalanche education and awareness.

We are currently working on lodging deals with the town of Winter Park and Winter Park Resort and hope to have several discounted options available. Van camping is also a great option and Berthoud Pass allows overnight parking! It is the time of year when it should be fairly easy to find some discounted rooms at local hotels as well.
Homebase will be the Headwaters Event Center in Winter Park, CO. From there each day we will bring the stoke with a happy hour, gear demos, raffles and guest speakers. It will serve as our rallying point for the entire event. You will need to find lodging in town or bring your van!
